Flying high.....

One of the great things about Malvern is that you can paraglide on the hills. To fly, you need to have a wind that is either due East or due West. There is a weather station on the hill that can be accessed on line and will show the wind direction and speed. We can be at the top of the hill in about 15 minutes.

I am pleased to say that last night I got a 'proper' flight. By proper, I mean that I went up and not down!  I was flying for about 40 minutes and managed to get about 1,000 feet above take-off.

Unfortunately the wind was quite strong and I got blown over the back of the hill, landing in a field about a mile away. Thus I also did my first cross-country flight........ although it was not exactly what I planned!
