I can now die happy!

I have always wanted to have a go on a digger and now I have.

It was just as much fun as I thought it would be.

The controls take a bit of getting used to but, once you are familiar with them, they feel quite natural.

You may say that it is only a very small digger. However, I would point out that size is not everything and that it is bigger than it looks!  One bucket fills a wheelbarrow.

On a related subject, my sister, Val, gave me a bookmark for Christmas inscribed with a list of 50 books to read before you die.

I had already read about two thirds of them but am trying to work my way through the rest. For example, I have just finished One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which I can recommend.

She advised me, just in case, to read only 49 of them. Which I thought was very wise. However, as one of them is Don Quixote (which I have no intention of reading), maybe I don't need to worry.
