Looking back......
I am feeling in a retrospective mood. So I have decided to do a page showing just a few of the 'best bits' from the voyage of Headline 2. Just in case you need reminding, we started off in December 2007 near Daventry and ended in October 2008 a few miles from where we began our voyage. We travelled nearly 1,500 miles. The hills form a backdrop to the town
In Yorkshire at Standedge -having just come through the longest canal tunnel in England.
It is over 3 miles long and took over 2 hours in an electric tug.
On the Staffordshire and Worcester Canal on our way to Stourport.
Outside the Audlem Fly at Audlem on the Shropshire Union Canal.
Crossing the famous Pontycyllte aqueduct on the way to Llangollen.
Etruria in Stoke on Trent at the start of the Caldon Canal.
Bye bye.
